Shopify and Security

Our Site is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with an AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

Cookies

Cookies are data files that can hold small amounts of info and are stored on your device (computer, smartphone etc) when you first visit a website.

We use cookies when you visit our site, but you can control these through your browser settings – just head to the help section of your browser. But don’t forget, if you modify your settings to block all cookies, you may not be able to access parts of our site or our service.

We use cookies for:

  • essential operations, like site navigation
  • allowing you to add items to your shopping bag
  • analysing visitor numbers and behaviours, such as what pages are frequently visited
  • assessing the success of our advertising campaigns, offers and communications
  • targeting suitable advertising messages
  • understanding which Affiliates have helped us reach out to new customers, or have promoted our products on their websites

There are four main types of cookies we use:

(1) Site functionality cookies – these allow you to navigate the site and use features such as “Add to Bag”

(2) Site analytics cookies – these cookies allow us to measure and analyse how our customers use the site, to improve both its functionality and your shopping experience.

(3) Customer preference cookies – when you're browsing or shopping on Reuzeable, these cookies will remember your preferences (like your language or location), so we can make your shopping experience as seamless as possible, and more personal to you.

(4) Targeting or advertising cookies – these are used to deliver ads relevant to you. They also limit the number of times that you see an ad and help us measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.

Consent to marketing messages and how do to withdraw consent?

If you have said we can, we’ll send you marketing messages to keep you aware of what we’re up to and to help you see and find our products and services. We will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

If after you opt-in, you change your mind and want to stop receiving marketing messages from Reuzeable, you also have the following options:

  • Emails:  Click on the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any marketing email you receive, and this will take you to the Contact Preferences section of your account so you can unsubscribe from that method of communication.
  • Text Messages:  You can also text “stop” to the number provided within the communication and this will unsubscribe you from that method of communication.
  • Any method of Marketing:  You can contact our Customer Care team hello@reuzeable.com. Once you do this, we will update our records to ensure that you don’t receive further marketing messages. Please be patient as it might take a few days for all our systems to be updated, so you might get messages from us while we process your request.
Please note that opting out of marketing messages will not stop service communications, such as order updates, or where you have asked for a specific ‘back in stock’ notification.
